i love living in west philly. true there isnt really night life out here, but there are some decent ethiopian bars on balitmore and locust. rent can either be expensive or really cheap. i live at 50th and cedar and have lived in two houses. one i paid 380 a month and now i pay 250 a month. our next door neighbors pay 600 a month. ive also paid as much as 700 for a one bedroom apt at 49th and baltimore. there are definitely deals to be had. easy to ride around as long as you watch out for cars not stopping at stop signs.
