Isn't it more fun having ho hum wheels and then crushing the souls of those you pass? Don't have a pair but I do run a pair of Mavic Aksiums that are cheap and bomber. Don't have to make any excuse for them. My legs are my excuse.
I use these as my everyday winter wheels. They will not break. Salt, sand, potholes, doors, nothing. Granted, they weigh 2Kg but they are like tanks. Ironically, they are more aero than my handbuilt DT R1.1 with 28/32.
