Compressing a rim?

How easy is it to squeeze a rim when applying brake pressure, and actually causing to then give a bit of warped feedback when you use them later?

When I was attaching the brake cable on my front brakes, I compressed the brake fairly good to make sure the cable wouldn't slip. After riding a while, I noticed that there is a small spot that seems to be giving some feedback in the caliper as the wheels rotates.

I wonder if it will slowly go away as I break in the pads and use the brakes for a while?

Just curious if anyone else has done this before, or if this is possible.
