Bikes: 1986 Alpine (steel road bike), 2009 Ti Habenero, 2013 Specialized Roubaix

Easiest and cheapest to have one pedal system and one pair of shoes. That's what I do for my road bike, SS/FG, and (gasp!) recumbent. No compromise needed.
