I thought this would be a pretty common item at loosescrews or biketools.etc, but neither seems to carry it.

Anyone have one in their parts bin? After a thorough cleaning, the wheel is reusable, bearings still smooth. I'd hate to toss it over a rubber seal.
I just looked because I know I have 1 or maybe 2 kicking around somewhere. BUT, for what it's worth, I used to use a LX hub without the bootie on a mountain bike for three years. Last fall, I sent it out to pasture in the backyard. It went through a hellish winter (bootie side facing up), and it's silky smooth as of 5 minutes ago. I know it serves a purpose, but I don't think the wheel is going to self destruct overnight. Just my experience
