Just thought i'd see if anyone had any experiance of successfully getting club sponsorship and if so how you went about it.

We've just started a new cycling club for Glasgow Uni, we're in our first year, and without much promotion we're up to around 30 members, so i recon we could easily be up to 100+ after a bit of advertising before the start of next term.

We'll probbaly be running a team of downhillers, racers and roadies (the downhillers and racers at a reasonably high level, i'd imagine) and alot of guys in it for fun. We're lucky when it comes to transportation and equipment as we get vans etc from the uni for nowt (plus some petrol money to boot!) and i'll be able to get us 10% and a decent discount on labour from the old LBS i worked at. But i'm a bit new when it comes to stuff like approaching clothing manufacturers etc and i was just wondering what the best tact was for that instead of me just muddling my way through it all.
