And I'll go on ahead and say the opposite. Nice frame, dumbed down components. That puts you at a Cannondale Caad9 6, size 54, in a compact double if it's offered. Or a Synapse 6, try 'em both. The rear triangle on both those are designed to flex when you hit a bump, but super stiff out of the saddle.

Nothing I hate more than someone saying, "You don't need something because you don't race" btw. That statement always goes right through me. If you're not racing, why do you need 105? Because you enjoy the feel of them and the confidence it gives you in shifting as well as braking. Especially when you're mashing up a hill trying to change gears... 105 shifts under a heavy load. Well, Ultegra does that to an even greater extent. And that's why I ride SRAM Red.

Tiagra works great.... my wife has many miles logged on her Dolce Elite with Tiagra. Works great and barely needs adjusting. I told her she should get Sora though since she wasn't racing or anything.
