I can imagine such a pleasant lifestyle being most likely found practical by a family of reasonable income near desirable large college campuses not located in major U.S. cities. Another possibility for those with high incomes - near big city college campuses or in expensive high tone center city residential enclaves. This is based on an assumption that such a big city campus/gentrified enclave can be found that isn't an island of serenity in an ocean of low income slums and violent crime.
