"Roadies" are the guys who are going to be out on the road wanting some space when all those pi$$ed-off MUP users are driving home. Perception, unfortunately, is 90% of reality, and the lycra-clad road biking crowd is considered in an increasing number of places to be a menace.

I agree that there are idiotic mountain bikers, but like it or not they're perceived differently.
