Gee zowie, the theme I see is that people in the car culture have no idea how easy it is to live car free. I was guilty of thinking living car free is harder than it is, that is why it took me so long to ease into it. Now I know better. One difference between me and the people who post here saying they can't is I tried as Roody sometimes advises, taking small steps. One decision at a time. I've never felt that I was trapped in a particular mode of living. Some decisions in life are irreversible, like pointing that loaded gun at your head and squeezing the trigger. Buying into the corporate game playing and suburban lifestyle, those decisions can be undone.
