Does this route sound plausible?
Your biggest problem is route 40 west of town. After MLK blvd rt40 takes the old rt.70 highway lanes and goes up to 60mph.
Then further west nearing the beltway the traffic near the malls is gonna drive you nuts. As far as eastside goes, I'm sure you'd be fine coming across Orleans/rt.40, but there are more pleasant ways.
