As I've said many time, this is best place on teh internetz.
In all seriousness, I doubt I would have learned as much about bikes had I even spent my time in the road forum. I find it amazing that there are people over there who think Brooks saddles were never raced . I bet most of them over there would be apalled/astounded/terribly confused if they were to ever encounter cottered cranks. It's crazy. But, you come over here and it's a regular thing. We're cool with just about everything. Sure, there are heated arguments, but they rarely ever degrade into name calling or insults. I guess cause we're all mature (young to old) while the roadie forums tend to be full of overconfident jerks.
The only other two forums here I think are close to as civil are the Recumbent forums and the Touring forums. Bent' riders are laid back (pun intended) because they're different. The tourers are laid back cause they too are different. And the same goes for us.
I'll say it as many times as necessary.
You guys are great. I'd consider so many of you good friends if I knew you all in person. Though, if need be I may still go out of my way to help some of you.
