Its funny... they are silly-light until you include the cleat. Then they are not so light. And since that cleat is attached to the pedal while the bike is moving it is no different than having that excess weight on the pedal itself.
BUT...because the cleats are not with the pedals when you weigh it infront of your mates...the boasting effect is well worth it...especially according to some weight weenies from my category C (3 in the states) who by the way never wins races
