comfortize a child's bike seat?

yeah I know comfortize isnt a word........

......anyhow, I bought my kids (3.5yr old twins) a cpl 16" bikes from WM. This is their first "real" bike, I dont exactly count the 10" bikes they had before a "real" bike. They've only been riding them a cpl days now and yesterday they would only ride for a few minutes at a time. They been complaining that their butts hurt and I didnt realize how bad til yesterday. Bad enough to leave really sore looking red marks, not a slap on the butt red, Im talking like blood blister red. So I adjusted the seat to tilt down a notch, but I dunno if this will help at all. Is there anything else I can do or are they just gonna have to get used to it? They luv riding their bikes, but the pain is just too much for them. I can't lower the seats anymore and really its about the right height for them, their knees nearly fully extend on down pedal, but not enough to lock the knees.
