She has been doing all the exercises and stretching suggested in PT but is improving very slowly if at all.

I was wondering if anyone here has benefited from Active Release Threapy (ART) and what advice can you give us?

how long has she been going?

for me when I stared with IT band issues biking for more than 15 mins caused issues

my physio therapist gave me strengthening exercises,,, stretching 3 times a day and holding the stretch for 1 min and I ramped up my biknig by 5 mins a week 2-3 days a week

I also got professionally fitted and found my seat was too low... I switch to speedpaly frog cleats for more float as well but if your wife uses road shoes I'd recommend speed play zeros since you can limit the flat

I started my physio in December and it took me till march to be able to do an hour of riding with out pain

I also received massages 3 times a week and my therapist said ART would not work well for the IT band because it crosses multiple joints
