I should have mentioned, there's also something funny about the forks. They appear aligned, but they are wider than 110mm, and when the front axle is completely seated in the dropouts, and the QR is engaged, the wheel sits decidedly skewed to one side. It's adjustable, of course, by moving the axle down a bit on one side, but I don't know who advisable that is. I do it on another bike I have though, with no ill effects thus far.
I did scan the other thread so I'm not scared off. I can have the fork checked for alignment. I happen to have a fantastic builder in town who could look at it.
