Ironically, as a new Cat 5 but an experienced cyclist, I can't wait for my 10 races to be over with because I want to get out of the sketchiness of other riders. My first race had four crashes, four. No one injuried seriously but ffs.
Seems like a catch22 to me.
In the crit I was at Sunday I don't believe there were any crashes in the 5's or 4's but those fields got split apart rather quickly. In the 3/4 there were 4 crashes and in the P!23 there were 2.
There will be crashes and sketchy riders in all categories!
