You won't be able to get a decent chainline with the ring in the outer position because the spider will hit the chainstay. Here's what I did:
I ground off the "nubs" that locate the back ring using my Belt/disk sander and finishing with emery paper laid on a flat surface. The bolts protruded too far so I countersunk the nuts using a drill press and a 1/2" bit. I used the depth stop, of course. I could have used short chainring bolts, but I opted to shorten the Campy bolts and apply cold galvanizing compound to the cut ends to prevent rust.
I've got a 107mm Miche track bottom bracket that is going to work perfectly if my measurements are correct. I like the Miche because it alows for some adjustment of the chainline and it's ISO.
