I recently had both hips replaced and will be going back to work in a couple months. I am 46 yrs old and in good shape other than bad hips(well they are good hips now) and I was a pretty avid bike rider before i started having hip issues 10 years ago. I want to start commuting by bike to work a couple of days a week to start. It is about 20 miles round trip and i have the doctor and therapist ok on this. I have my eye on this bike, Specialized Vienna Deluxe 3, would appreciate any feedback thanks.
It'll do the job. I have a Sirrus which is a sportier, but similar bike in Specilized's lineup and I'm doing 31 miles. The only bike I think is a touch better is a cross bike as it is more of an all-rounder.
