Took the Heron out for it's first road trip. Only did 25 miles on this shake down ride, it was a sweet ride.
The bike is equipped with barcons. This was my first experience with them. Had no problem getting used to them.
A friend of mine who has been riding a Rivendell for 5 or 6 years rode my Heron and said it felt just like his Rivendell.
Todd Kuzma of Tullio's Big Dog Cyclery did a great job building the bike. All I had to do was mount the front wheel, handle bar stem, my Brooks B.17 saddle, and pedals.
If you're looking for something in the Rivendell or Waterford, but don't have 2500-3000$, the Heron is a great alternative.
