Bikes: Raptor Bicycles... Fully custom carbon bikes... just the way you want them!

I'm going to pull the rim tape off, true the wheels and then use a little loc-tite on the threads of the nipples and see what happens. Sometimes that makes a huge difference. I just thought it was so strange that one or two of the aero spokes were sideways...

I got a set last spring. Put them on the fall of 2007 BD frame buy I re-built in the spring of 2008 with better components scrounged up off eBay during the winter of 2007-08 after I'd ridden it all that winter as a 'rain bike' with some other components.

Wheelset weighs in at 1585 grams, as advertised on the BikeIsland website (80 grams less that a set of 2007 Bontrager Race Lites).

Put about 1900 miles on them until I pulled them off for a set of 'winter wheels' on the BD build back in December. Put them on the truing stand for a check a few weeks ago....the back wheel was just barely .1 mm (not ONE mm, .1 mm) out, so tweeked it back. The front was under .1 mm, so I didn't touch it.

So far, I'm happy with them.

I'm a whimpy 150#'s so maybe that helps.
