Shimano has added a new pedal to the sport road line. The A520 has been my choice for a couple of years (single sided road cage for MTB cleats). The new A530 is essentially the same pedal with a platform pedal added to to backside for those times you just hop on without your cleats.

They are the same pedal as the MTB serues with a frame added around the outside to support the foot like a road pedal. They make a surprisingly good compromise for those who want a road pedal with a cleat that allows walking at the pie stops.
