Right now I'm looking for a basic hybrid. I've been cycling for some time and I'm confident I know enough about sizing to get the right frame. I'm fairly handy with bike maintenance so assembly and upkeep isn't a problem for me. I don't care either way about the brand label issue. I figure I'm getting a low end but serviceable aluminum frame and that's fine with me.

The price is right, but I still feel a bit of hesitation on the whole mail order thing. Every other bike I've owned came from a shop. I just can't get past the idea of buying a bike without riding it first. That's the only thing that stops me from pulling the trigger on a BD bike.

Getting some opinions from BD customers from threads like this is helpful, but the response here is mixed to say the least!
Just do it. Worse case scenario you strip it down, sell the frame on CL and buy another frame to build with the ultegra group that you're prob going to get from the BD build.

BTW the finish on the immortal force is actually quite a gorgeous pearl, the on line pics dont do it justice

The image I just uploaded because I thought you might like it
