I get where you're coming from. But I feel like I'm going into this with my eyes open. I know a little bit about bikes and I've done a bit of homework. The bikes I'm looking at on BD are hybrids for about $350.
I'd really like a Trek 7100 or 7200, but they are $440 and $540 respectively. If I can get something close to comparable at Bikes Direct for that much less, that's a heck of a deal. But that's the x-factor.
Have to wait and see if anybody purchased a similar bike and posts their experience about it I guess.
