Until recently, all I ever knew is Look. My wife wants to try cycling and we are taking a spin class so that has driven me to get SPDs on my road bike for wife to try and I put the Looks on a tri bike. So far, I have not found the SPDs much easier to get in/out of than the Looks which was part of my motivation for getting them to make it easier for the wife to learn. Granted, I am much more used to the Looks so maybe with some practice I will grow to like the SPDs but my fist impression was ho-hum. If not for the wife, I would continue to commute on Looks. The Looks just feel more secure, I can barely tell when I'm actually "in" with the SPDs.
