Fitchburg Stage Race

It's still a ways off, but the Cat 4 is starting to fill, and I don't want to miss it if it's something I should go to. Who's going? Should I go?

I'm on the fence. I hear it's hilly, and I'm not a climber. But the atmosphere of a huge stage race is something I've never been to, and it sounds fun.

It would end up being extremely expensive, since I would have to take off a couple unpaid days, plus it's a long drive, plus it's expensive to stay in hotels for that long, etc.

Keeping in mind that my costs could run into the $750 range (including lost wages and everything else), is it worth it? It's not like I'm hurting for races to do around here. Maybe save this for next year, and make it an A priority race? Something to look forward to? By next summer I'll probably be in the real working world, at the same company, so I'll have more time off to use, plus more money to spend.

Experiences? Anything you can tell me about it?

Thanks,
Kai
