To paraphrase the Grateful Dead, it's been a long, strange trip - but I finally have the unicycle that kpug505 sent me last fall up and going. The riding skill came back to me in pretty short order (it's like riding a bicycle ), but I definitely lost a bit of my former talent.

I'm now the first kid on my block to have one - just like the summer before 7th grade.

Thanks friend, and someday when I can corner "z", I'll get a little video posted, just so you know I'm not fibbing.

p.s. - those old Schwinn 20" rims came in several sizes. It was quite a challenge getting the right one, or else this post would have been made a couple months ago. Fortunately, my good relations with my LBS kept me from going broke playing the guessing game. Treat those friends of yours at the LBS right, and the karma will probably come back around.
