I used to think the genetics were holding me back too. At the level of TX Cat 3s, it's the trainable. Trust me. You raise your threshold, and a fast Cat 3 pack isn't taxing any more (at all, not even a little). It lowers the bar, then you just hop over it in the last kilo.
