It's a big
stretch to say that stretching weakens your muscles in a way that predisposes you to injury.
And it does nothing to answer the question of whether stretching or yoga to inncrease flexibility helps cycling.
In my experience, stretching and core strengthening work helps a lot to hold an aerodynamic position on the bike, and produce power in that position.
So whatever studies say about muscle strength and injury prevention, if stretching lets you get more aero, then it will make you faster.
