You want to grab and hold their attention. You want to impress them with your credentials. Suggestion: Make an entrance riding your bike into the room to start your speech. Give the speech from the saddle. The scar is awesome, if you can describe the accident without making yourself look stupid

Don't put a lot in the powerpoint, just points to talk to and maybe an image or two. You want their attention on you and what you say, not some stupid gimmicky slides.
