I've been making that same conscious effort. I've never used mirrors before, but I went ahead and put a big mirror on the end of my drop bars on my commuter and that has made a big difference. I feel more comfortable being out in the lane since I can see what is happening behind me. That way I spend the majority of my time being more visible to motorists.

How was my commute? Damp.
