You should get fit by someone at a shop if you want your bike to fit. You can't buy a bike based only on your inseam, and seat tube length. At least go to performancebike.com and figure out the rough bike size you need.
a guy at a local bike shop has been helping me out actually...i agree with you. i would not buy a bike without getting fitted properly.
