As far as riding, we do have a pretty extensive recreational trail system, and from any where in the city, within about a half hour or so, a road rider can get to a whole bunch of state highways or county roads that go on forever. But they tend to be long, rolling hills, not flat. And it gets really windy sometimes. Oh, and winter really sucks.
Not believing you about the hills at first, I checked Google Earth and did some scoping. All along the river it's a steady downward sloping 1000 feet above sea level, and in the surrounding land it swells up to just over 1200 feet. 200 feet in elevation difference does classify as hilly, I suppose. Any noteworthy steep roads or continuous rolling routes that give you a good workout?
