The OP said nothing about sprinting in a race. He was talking about short rides as sprints, as opposed to century rides.
What's not right about your comment is that wheelbase has anything to do with trail. Trail is a function of HTA, fork rake and tire diameter. The Roubaix has less trail and quicker steering than the LOOK, due to the larger fork rake. Trail = (R/tanH) - (rake/sinH)
Both models have somewhat slack HTAs in some sizes, but the chainstay length is not overly long on either one. The Roubaix does get longer in the larger sizes - hence my suggestion to identify the size under comparison.
