Agree, didn't like Tufton etc either but I thought this ride was much less hilly than last years course.
We got a late start as well, probably 835 or so. I was waiting for a group of guys I ride with but they didn't leave O Ridge until after 9. I think I exchanged a few e-mails with your husband on Friday about riding the tandem. He said he was going to let you pick the mileage. Even with the heavy tandem it seemed like a short day, back home by noon, though I think 50 would have been too much for my son, didn't want to turn him off with a forced march. Evan is over 100 lbs at ten years old so had my work cut out but boy did we have a blast. He learned very quickly when I needed him to stoke and then would keep it coming over the crest of each hill. He really liked the downhills at 40mph. Longneccker didn't give us any trouble but we may have been losing some steam coming up Cuba, but Evan gave some power at the end, then we absolutely flew down Cuba to Beaver Dam, passing some kitted out racers who I'm sure were winding down. We're going to do the Six Pillar ride next Saturday to get our flats. Evan said that sounds boring
NR-What kind of drills did you do? I gotta get out for some intervals.
