I just got a schwinn fastback limited, built frankenbike style with a mix of shimano 600 derailleurs and brakes, tiagra sti shifters, older ultegra crank, aero seat post, 600/mavic open 4cd, ritchey carbon fork, etc in great shape for $500.

I was told the frame was an 06 model. The only info I can find on this frame is that it was schwinn's flagship road bike, "schwinn reflex" carbon top tube, down tube, seat stays and fork, and the aluminum tubes are N'lightened platinum series.

Does anyone know anything else about this frame? Any idea what the frame/complete bike sold for? Does 2006 sound right? How do you think this frame compares to a newer full carbon like a specialized tarmac?

Also, do you think it would be worth it to upgrade to external bearing bb/crank?
