Hey, I'm with you here, considering what you can get for 5USD, Subway is a really good deal. During my winter training months I made and carried food 5 days a week, but there was one day a week where the only way for me to get food and get it eaten was to get subway. I really enjoyed the break from packed meals, and at this price point you can't touch the variety and volume of fresh vegetables in a meal. (I'm a vegetarian so eating a high volume of food comes as part of the territory.)

I'm the sort to weigh out food to the ounce to find the best value, and as I recall, the tuna nets you more protein per sandwich than any of the other 5USD sub, and then they will pile on enough veg to be a full salad besides. If you ask for more of one or two vegs beyond what they originally give you they almost always will....
