I absolutely love the IGH for this kind of ride: the terrain varies little, so I was basically using one or two cogs and switching the IGH as needed.

The bike felt totally solid, yet light and fast. There were no nefarious squeaks or complaints from the bike the whole time. It was quiet and stable. The pics are at the campground, and at the Eastern Continental Divide (kicked my butt riding 25 miles of steady uphill grade from Cumberland, MD, to the Divide).

Cool. Some of the local Bike Friday buds are thinking of putting together a friendly ride out in Middleburg.
