I'm looking to buy the 56 cm Dahon Tournado and would like to know which suitcase is best to pack it in. The S&S 10 x 26 x 26 suitcase would be perfect because it's a hard shell and meets the airline baggage limits (62 total linear inches).

But will the 56 cm Dahon Tournado fit in this case? According to Dahon's "folded size" spec, the answer is no: 11.7" x 29.3" x 25.7".

Has anyone with the 56 cm Tournado ever tried to fit it in this case? I would be willing to pack some parts of the bike in my carry-on luggage (handlebars? seat and seatpost?) of course. Not sure if that would help.

Which case do you recommend? A non-hard shell case, like the Dahon Airporter, really makes me nervous. I would like something durable for my $2000+ bike!
