Yeah, on the one hand, I'm kind of aggravated about the rain, but on the other, I'm really hoping it's the death knell for the pollen!

So both whacko cats were sitting in the same room with me yesterday evening, and I got one to play a bit with a toy, but she wasn't fooled into getting too close to me. But the male did finally decide to make his way over to me, and as the rescue lady had said, he does indeed love to be petted -- he was purring like a little motor, and giving me lots of head-butts and body-swipes.
