I just replaced my triple and converted it to a double and it was pretty expensive. I agree with some of the others on here. I was wary to get a double so I stuck with the triple and regret it to this day. I only used that granny gear for about two weeks until I found my legs. The last three years that stupid small gear has just been there, never even thought of touching it. If you do change you might be able to get away with just replacing the front derailer and shifters, that's what I had to do.
