Leave frame as is or repaint on a budget?
I've been working on the frame of a 760 and am not too in love with the color teal and purple.
It has a few wear, nicks and surface rust bubbles here and there and I was planning on mixing some touchup paint.
Now I'm wondering if it'd be worth it to just sand and paint the frame and buy repro decals. Automotive wheelpaint is more durable with the right prepwork.
Is it a waste of money and effort if I'm not going to go all out and spend $300 like some of the posts I've seen?
FYI -
I'm planning on modernizing the drivetrain to 8 or 9 speed indexed (maybe brifters) so I'm obviously not going the resto route.
