Of the four 'tubular disadvantages' you've listed, only number four applies. Although this would only be initial expense. Looking over logs from the past six year (three years of TUFOs and three years of clinchers) I see that I've used nearly half as many TUFOs as I did clinchers. So for me, the greater initial expense is WELL worth it. YMMV
