I will preface my comments by saying that I posted in this thread during the first page, and I just made a quick glance over the next few pages. However, it's pretty late right now, and I barely pulled myself off the couch before falling asleep there for the night. (My computer was left on from earlier in the evening.)

With that disclaimer, I agree fully with the quote above. There are some members who consistently post useful, helpful advice without intentionally antagonizing others, and I'd put urbanknight on that list. As far as I can recall, he doesn't get dragged down in many of the pissing contests and bickering that often pop up around here. Heck, just look at his avatar - it's obvious he doesn't take himself too seriously! (That's a compliment, by the way.)

If the original post came off as elitist to some, I'd consider the source and give him a little slack. Sometimes subtle cues are lost on the internet, and you might have gotten a totally different vibe if you heard the story during a face to face conversation.
