I guess I'm the opposite. When I was 38, I decided to quit my job and go for a 3 month bike tour, I thought my dad would freak out, I was totally afraid to tell him. He was so wonderful - told me to live life to the fullest and follow my heart, do it if it made me happy. Thanks dad.
