For inexpensive long fingered gloves, I'd recommend staying away from lbs's and patronize instead big box stores like W/M.
In fact, I'm using a pair of $19 gloves from W/M that have held up remarkably well for 3 seasons, have okay padding, and a large 'terry cloth' swath on each thumb to wipe the nose droppings that invariably happens on cold/cool morning commutes.
