I replaced the original Campagnolo hoods last year with the Euro-Asia hoods. The Campy hoods literally disintegrated as I tried to remove them. I chose the Euro-Asia hoods because I think they were manufactured recently. As noted, the fit is not especially good.
I have a set of NOS white campy hoods, they seem to have held up very well. I suppose it could depend on how they were stored.
