Around here I just make fun of the BMX'ers. They are the worst at doing anything mechanical. One kid lost his crankarm spindle bolt, so he found a sheetmetal screw, wrapped it in duct tape and threaded it in. He was also using a zip-tie as a spacer on his spindle.
Last summer, some kid tried fixing his own bike that he got from us, and even though he had a year of free service, he still did it himself.
He put his rear wheel back on with an impact wrench and cross-threaded the axle nut onto the axle. It took about 20 minutes to finally pry the wheel off.
I was amazing at working on those bikes, so all my friends just had me tune theirs, re-build their free-coasters, do their brakes, I even fabricated some of my own designs if i remember correctly. The only thing I couldn't do was lace up a wheel.
