I've been rolling maxxis hookworms 26X2.5 on my single speed surly 1x1, for the last few months. Those tires have an amazing traction on wet or dry pavement, I've also tried them on some singletrack and gravel paths and I like it a lot. Not one flat yet. I pump them hard and they roll very well, when I ride unpaved trails I let out some air. I just came back from a 80 KM urban ride, time to get some beer.
