i'll bite.
i only managed 80 miles, though i was aiming for 100. at mile 60, there was an option to do a 15 mile loop that would make 100 miles, or just turn and head back to the start for an 85 mile total. i really shouldn't have done the 15 mile loop. by the time i finished it, it was about 2:30pm, and the thought of doing another 25 hilly miles and then driving 3 hours home was really messing with my head. i did the unthinkable and rode in a sag wagon back to the start.
as usual, i started out way too fast and aggressive and was running on empty most of the miles >50. some pretty ball-busting climbs in the route.
cylowe, if you read this, there are quite a few roads in the area with some nasty potholes and gravel all over the place. those downhills were kinda squirrely at times.
stewart put on a great ride though. it's very well marked, both with directional signs and spray paint on the road. the organizers did a good job marking the potholes and gravel.
